Delivery bundle · Pilot engagement

Work through critical-role coverage decisions and follow up on agreed actions.

Josh leads confidential conversations and the leadership review. We check the evidence, record coverage choices and resource decisions, and follow up twice on up to three agreed priorities.

Engagement at a glance

Best starting condition

A CEO, CHRO or business-unit leader with critical-role exposure and unfinished leadership-team talent decisions.

Bring what you already have

Bring current succession charts, AI analysis, review materials and up to two structured exports. Critical roles are already identified, with access to the leadership decision-makers and agreed confidential handling.

Ignite carries

Josh leads confidential conversations, sponsor preparation, the leadership talent review and both progress reviews. Scot checks the evidence and prepares the coverage pack, tracker and progress readouts.

Your team does

Leaders make coverage and resource decisions and own the assigned actions. A nominated successor is not assumed ready. Ninety-day actions are planned and reviewed, not guaranteed complete during the eight-week cycle.

First proposed checkpoint

Weeks 1-2: Confirm roles and decision criteria; interview leaders; deliver a checked coverage brief with evidence gaps. Timing is confirmed after inputs and access are accepted.

What counts as complete

Evidence and gaps support the coverage judgments; the decision record includes owners, milestones or explicit deferrals; and both progress reviews are complete. A reviewed role is not a filled role.

Executive talent and succession

Executive Talent and Succession Decisions

Proposed pilot: 8 weeks; one leadership team of up to 6 decision-makers and up to 10 already identified critical roles.
Review critical-role coverage, agree leadership actions and follow through with two progress reviews.

What needs to be clarified first

Only when role identification, decision criteria, evidence rights or sponsor access require work beyond the coverage-and-commitment cycle. Reuse current charts, AI analysis and review materials that pass agreed checks.

When another starting point fits

The roles are not yet identified, the leadership team cannot participate or handle confidential inputs, or the buyer expects recruitment, independent assessment, compensation redesign or a full fractional-CHRO service.

Separate scope

Recruitment, independent assessments, compensation redesign, successor-development delivery and a full fractional-CHRO role are separate. Ninety-day actions are planned, not guaranteed complete in eight weeks.

What you can expect.

FAQ

Questions about this engagement

Scope, responsibilities and what happens next.

Do we need to identify critical roles before starting?
Yes. The proposed scope covers one leadership team of up to six decision-makers and up to ten already identified critical roles. Separate role-identification work is added only where needed and agreed.
Does this assess or certify successor readiness?
No. We check the supplied evidence and its gaps and facilitate leadership coverage decisions. Independent assessments and successor-development delivery are separate. Naming a successor does not establish readiness, and a review does not mean a role has been filled.
How do eight-week reviews relate to the 90-day actions?
The proposed cycle includes a talent review and progress reviews in weeks six and eight. Up to three priorities have owners, resource decisions or explicit deferrals and 90-day milestones. The 90-day actions are planned and reviewed; they are not promised complete within eight weeks.
