Delivery bundle · Pilot engagement

Build a checked business case for one Talent investment decision.

We review your existing analysis, compare up to three agreed options, prepare the sponsor and support the decision meeting. The record captures approval, deferral or the evidence still needed.

Engagement at a glance

Best starting condition

A CHRO or Talent leader with a specific staffing, technology or Talent investment question and a real decision date.

Bring what you already have

Bring the decision question, existing analysis or business-case draft, up to two structured exports and supporting documents. Agree a sponsor, decision date and booked forum before the proposed delivery clock starts.

Ignite carries

We check sources, numbers and assumptions, compare the agreed options, prepare the sponsor-ready business case, consolidate one revision and support the decision meeting and its record.

Your team does

Your sponsor and decision-makers approve assumptions, consider options and make the investment decision. New data collection, specialist review and implementation are separate work.

First proposed checkpoint

Days 1-2: Confirm the decision, input coverage, assumptions and decision-maker availability. Timing is confirmed after inputs and access are accepted.

What counts as complete

Sources and assumptions are visible, numbers reconcile, options address the agreed decision and the meeting result has an owner. Funding approval is not the completion criterion.

Talent investment decision

Talent Investment Decision Business Case

Proposed pilot: 10 business days after accepted inputs and booked sessions; one executive decision cycle.
Check the evidence and options, prepare the sponsor and document the result of one investment decision.

What needs to be clarified first

Only when the decision question, sponsor path or evidence cannot support a bounded decision pack. Do not require a paid diagnostic when existing analysis and a booked decision forum are adequate.

When another starting point fits

There is no real decision, forum or decision-maker access; the buyer requires a predetermined approval; or the scope is legal advice, external assurance or a new market study.

Separate scope

External assurance, legal advice, new market studies and implementation of the decision are excluded. Readiness or leadership-alignment work is added only when needed and separately scoped.

What you can expect.
Fixed-term project

What it clarifies

One decision question and decision date; usable evidence and material gaps; up to three agreed options; reconciled numbers, assumptions and tradeoffs; decision, deferral or next evidence requirement.

What you receive

  • Accepted decision question and input-coverage record
  • Options and evidence brief with visible limitations
  • Source-linked checked comparison and recommendation
  • Concise sponsor-ready decision pack and one consolidated revision
  • Documented decision-forum result, owner and next evidence requirement

See the work: Investment decision record

Illustrative example of the record we use.

  • Decision question: The specific investment choice
  • Options: Agreed alternatives and assumptions
  • Evidence: Source, checks and material gaps
  • Decision: Proceed, revise or defer; recorded by the client
  • Follow-through: Owner, next evidence need and decision date

The bundles are new pilots. Related case stories describe earlier Ignite work, not this bundle.

How the work moves

Evidence and Options Review. Accept the decision and usable evidence; Build and check the options comparison; Prepare the sponsor and record the decision.

Proposed milestones

  • Days 1-2: Confirm the decision, input coverage, assumptions and decision-maker availability.
  • Days 3-4: Return the first usable options/evidence brief and material gaps.
  • Days 5-6: Complete the checked comparison and source-linked recommendation.
  • Days 7-8: Consolidate sponsor feedback into the final pack.
  • Days 9-10: Support the booked forum and document its result; show client scheduling delays separately.

Scope and responsibilities

Pilot scope and caps

One decision question, up to three agreed options, up to two structured data exports and existing documents, one concise pack, one consolidated revision and one 60-minute decision forum. State missing evidence rather than inventing it.

Your delivery team

Josh: Lead business framing, sponsor preparation and discussion of consequential tradeoffs.

Scot: Lead quantitative checks, evidence limits, options analysis and pack production.

Your team’s planning time

Planning budget: HR/analysis lead 3-5 hours; sponsor about 60-90 minutes. Other decision-makers attend the booked forum. New data collection and specialist review add effort and scope.

Commercial unit and changes

Proposed fixed fee per decision cycle, with explicit increments for extra sources, options or forums; reduce the remaining scope when client work is usable.

Additional populations, participants, roles, sources, meetings, workstreams or review periods are agreed as separate scope where relevant.

Proposed pilot scope. We agree the remaining work, usable inputs, responsibilities and fees before starting. Timing depends on accepted inputs and the required people being available. Your team retains approvals and its assigned business actions.

FAQ

Questions about this engagement

Scope, responsibilities and what happens next.

Can you finish or check a business case we already drafted?
Yes. Your existing analysis or AI-drafted business case is the starting point where usable. We agree the remaining evidence checks, options comparison, sponsor preparation and decision-record work. There is no compulsory new diagnostic when accepted inputs and a booked decision forum support the scope.
What if the available evidence does not support a recommendation?
We show the evidence gaps and limits instead of inventing assumptions or a firm recommendation. The decision record can capture a deferral or the next evidence requirement, with an owner. New data collection or specialist review is separately scoped.
Does completion mean the investment will be approved?
No. Completion means that sources and assumptions are visible, numbers reconcile, options address the agreed question and the decision meeting’s result is recorded. Funding approval and business ROI depend on client decisions and are not acceptance promises.
